The associated files are photos of the hood hinge from my '36 cadillac - it is made of three pieces, a central part shown in the CIMG6365 photo, and two parts as shown in the CIMG6367 photo which interlock with the central part. I need to make two four foot sections to replace badly rusted parts like the CIMG6367 photo - thickness of of the steel is .048 inches - I would want to use stainless so that it won't rust and will polish up nicely. All the sheet metal shops I've talked to tell me that they cannot make the"curly" part of this, so I am stuck - it looks to me like it might be something that can be rolled - Surely, if it could be made cheaply by GM in 1936, there is a way to make it today. anyone with suggestions, I can be reached at william_b_noble@msn.com
