Barber_Colman_00.txt Here are pictures of a Barber Colman #6-10 gear hobbing machine. I bought this machine from a shop in Kearney, NE, who bought the machine from Kearney State University (the original owner). The seller did a wonderful job crating this machine, I asked for this and paid a little extra. They included nice features like custom T-studs that go all the way thru the bottom framing, wrapped all the change gears and hobs in bubble wrap, put them in a 5 gallon bucket, and screwed that to the framing. The machine’s covers which swing open were electrical taped so they wouldn’t swing during shipment. The documents were nicely wrapped in cardboard. I thought I’d post some pics as kind of the “high water mark” in machine crating. I’ve unloaded this with my Clark forklift and will start to learn about the machine.
