I made this chain wheel to drive a storage lift for an ice
rescue sled at our fire hall. The sled is rather light and
a good way to store it was needed. I took on the project
using old garage door parts. A heavy duty locking pawl stops
the shaft which is driven by a large chain wheel. It sure was
a study in metalworking!
