This is a gasket cutter I made of 1.25" square by 2.5" long blocks
of cast iron (trued up from 1.5" continuous cast on my Logan shaper).
The design is pretty simple.  I cut a .015" groove to hold an Xacto
No. 11 blade.  The brass buttons are to protect the shaft.  Once
I've got the Hardinge TM running (that's the spindle gasket), I'll
probably cut a flat along the 1/2" shaft.
