I'm building a weight bench for my son and I. It'll be primarily 2-1/2" and 2" square tube. Swivel pad feet will attach by screwing into welded on 3/4" hex heavy nuts. Also, adjustable seat mounting tubes and the bar rest uprights will adjust by means of dog screws through the same nuts into 1/2" holes drilled in the 2" tubes. I used some of the parts, a dog screw and foot mount, as a jig to drill the holes in the 2" tubes. The photos are as follows: HoleJig01.jpg 1/2 slice of square tube as shim, dog screw in foot mount, 123 block to locate other axis. HoleJig02.jpg dog screw. HoleJig03.jpg dog screw in 1/2" hole. HoleJig04.jpg 123 block. HoleJig05.jpg ready to drill hole. HoleJig06.jpg hole drilled. HoleJig07.jpg holes completed in upright tube. I laid out the first three holes, used a wiggler to make the first two good, used the wiggler on the third to locate and clamp the jig components. Pete Keillor keillorp135@chartermi.net
