The first pic is the industry standard locknut in
size N-10. The center tanged lock washer is prone
to failure as the center tab is easily sheared off.
The second pic is a true locknut that is easily
adjusted and re-adjusted as needed and it stays put
as intended and is still easily dis-assembled.
