Clutch connecting Reid engine to line shaft. "They are maple blocks held in place by wood screws. The large nut visible on the top of each shoe is an adjustment for each shoe. As the lever is engaged (pulled toward the viewer) the yoke moves toward the clutch, drawing the shoes inward to engage the clutch surface. It is a really strong clutch. Its large diameter (clutch surface about 18" dia.) gives it plenty of surface for a gradual engagement. I wouldn't want to make one like this, though, for all the moving parts and such."
