The table on my old TM was heavily abused, with a few end mill scars, overall ding rash (looked like it had been a percussion instrument with ball peens), and peened over t-slot edges. I took it to Commerce Grinding in Dallas and had it ground. Looks much better, and I spent more on gas than the grind job. TMGroundTable01.jpg -- out of focus, but best photo I had before job. TMGroundTable02.jpg -- ground table on mill TMGroundTable03.jpg -- slight ripple visible in finish TMGroundTable04.jpg -- lef t over pits from previous "accidents" TMGroundTable05.jpg -- mill as it is now There's still a lot to do on this old one. Next up is finish the x-axis screw replacement. Then I need to shim the y-axis gib, which is out of adjustment room. The y-axis looks the worst, someday I may tackle the ways. Table ways on bottom showed about 0.0035" bow, top was much worse and rough as a cob. Knee looks ok, lots of gib travel left. Pete Keillor
