Here is the bandsaw Gunner gave to me. It worked for a minute and then stopped. I tracked it down to a faulty roll pin which had sheared. Note the pieces sticking out the end of the gear in the xmission pics. A good roll pin is flush with the gear diameter. The worm driven gear is kaput (check those teeth!) but the shaft isn't badly scored. It does wobble a lot, though, and the nut was loose to the driven wheel. The wheel doesn't come off and it appears that the shaft doesn't want to come out the inspection plate side. I'll have to find a manual for this puppy. The new roll pin and some grease got it running for the time being. The new bimetal blade works like a champ. $23 at Medford Tool Thanks, Gunner!
