Posted by Bob "Mac" McIlvaine as the MAC# series and then, later, the photos were run through Photoshop by Phil Plumbo to reduce size for faster download. These reposted smaller files are the Mac#a series. Bob, the original poster, provided the following description: ========================================================================== These photos show the Logan 922, 11" x 36" lathe that I rebuilt. When I got the lathe it was mechanically sound, but needed some reapairs. It had a couple of broken teeth in the quick change gear box and the large drive pulley had a split hub. It was in need of a good cleaning and had several layers of ugly colored paint. Why do companies paint their machines these crazy colors? I proceeded to disassemble the entire lathe and completely strip the paint. I replaced all the oilite bearings in the qc box and replaced the gears as necessary. These photos show it completely rebuilt and operational with original flat belt drive and three phase motor. It's a joy to operate. I'd like to thank Scott Logan for all his help and coaching. =========================================================================== Later Phil added: I visited the dropbox last night and downloaded the MACx.JPG set of files. They were very nice, but large and very over-scanned, i.e., nearly all of the data will be tossed by a browser. I brought them into Photoshop, increased the jpeg compression ratio, and saved them out as MACxA.JPG. They are much smaller and still seem excellent in display quality. I offer them because I hate uselessly long downloads. Phil Plumbo
