FILENAMES: RADIUS1.JPG RADIUS2.JPG DESCRIPTION: These are pictures of a ball turning attachment built by John Stevenson . John provided the following description: ================================================================= Placed on the drop box at http://www.metalworking.com are two scanned in photos of a ball turning attachment I made last month for a job. I must apologise for the quality as they are video shots grabbed on the computer. I was going to take some photos later but as this thread on ball turning was running I thought i'd do it now. The tool post is able to move back about 1" as there is another hole on the swivel plate for the pivot spindle. This allows it to go from zero to 2 1/2" radius, which is enough for my needs. The whole setup is about 5" tall as it was made for a 6" centre hight lathe. The adjustment screw, nut and callibrated collar are spares from the top slide of a Myford lathe. The files are called radius 1 and Radius 2 (webmaster note - these files originally appeared as "ball1a.jpg" and "ball2a.jpg, they have been touch-up and renamed "RADIUS1.JPG" and "RADIUS2.JPG") This file is called radius.txt John Stevenson engineers@btinternet.com .
