Tim posted the following description: =========================================================================== Attached are photos of the gear cutter. It is a Brown & Sharpe number 3H. The H on this model was for heavy duty. It can cut spur gears and sprockets up to 8 inch face width 24 inch od and 3 diametral pitch. It uses a 1.25 arbor for cutters up to 4.75 od and 3.0 thick. Cutter speed 30-156 rpm 12 changes, cutter feed 13/16 to 15-3/4 ipm in 16 changes. will cut all numbers of teeth 12-400 except prime numbers and their multiples. Weighs under 6000 lbs, built in coolant tank and pump, 220v 3ph. about 30 work and cutter arbors included along with cutter centering gage for setup. This machine is in operating condition and will cut good class 5 gearing. It has automatic cutter forward, rapid retract, and index for untended operation after setup.
