FILENAMES: leinen.jpg DESCRIPTION: This is a photograph of a small Leinen lathe that the owner is seeking information about. Posted by Johan Grobbelaar . Johan provided the following description: ================================================================= Sent to the dropbox is a photograph of a small Leinen lathe I acquired some time ago. With the kind co-operation of Hans-Rudolph Brunner I contacted the manufacturers that took over the Leinen lathes to try and get some information, but to no avail. I basically would like to know the approximate date of manufacture and any information that I can get. It is a beautifully made machine with very little wear on the V-ways and is reasonably fully equipped as can been seen on the photo. It is approx. 50mm centreheight by about 200mm between centres and the headstock is bored for 8mm collets. I got it with a 3jaw SC chuck, a 4jaw (basically a faceplate with four adjustable jaws). a full?? set of change gears, a lever operated tailstock as well as a normal tailstock with a perfect no.0 Jacobs chuck and an assortment of 8mm collets ranging from 1 (0.1mm I believe!) to 6mm. It has a compound topslide using a lantern toolpost. The only number I can see on the bedcasting is a !5 on the righthand side but nothing else. Any information would be highly appreciated!
