These are a picture and an instructions/parts list for
my Clausing No. 7012 steady rest designed for use with
the Clausing No. 4900 10-inch lathe.  It is of robust
but simple design, a design heritage that can be seen
in other Clausing, Atlas, and Craftsman lathe steady
rests.  The three jaws are made of a bronze alloy to
preclude damage to most workpieces being turned. 
While I do not have a Clausing-family 10-inch lathe, I
have adapted this steady rest for use with my
Logan/Montgomery Ward No. 700A (c. Feb 1941) 10-inch
