Posted by Eddy Wells . Eddy provided the following description: ================================================================= These pictures are from a visit to Bill Denard's shop in East Texas. Bill is an "Oldtime tool Maker" and is retired. He built the centrifugal casting machine , rock saws, and grinders himself using his mill/drill and lathe. If you would like more information about his process of pouring silver and other metals e-mail him. The casting machine has a spring mounted under the tub on the shaft. The arm is wound backward a few turns and a trigger is set. The hot metal is poured into the crucible, the trigger is pressed and the metal is thrown into the mold. Bill uses the hotwax investment molding technique and has many pretty beltbuckles and other pieces of jewelry, he has made.
