Posted by Fitch R. Williams . Fitch provided the following description: ================================================================= This is a series of pictures of the electric furnace (240V 45A, 2300F capable) furnace my neighbor gave me. The picture titles are relatively self explanitory. It is apparently intended to be a Kiln - it says Kiln on the front of it. However it contains a huge flask that has an integral spout for pouring by tilting the whole furnace. There is a place at the top of the rear frame to mount a small winch of the type oveten seen on small boat trailers. The winch cable goes down under the rear of the furnace (where it has a tube section to protect the cable from the sharp cornerO and then to a bracket under the front. The top front of the furnace is mounted on about 1.25" bars which are in ball bearings to make it easy to tilt the furnace for pouring. In some of the pictures the furnace is strapped to the loader bucket (Diesel powered hydraulically actuated furnace handling tool) of my john Deere 770 tractor. In a couple of the pictures the front of the horse trailer and the welding trailer (which has a red canvass cover over the Lincoln Ranger welder) appear in the back ground. The top of the furnace lifts up and has a double clip to hold it closed, or open depending on what is going on at the time.
