Eddy provided the following description: ================================================================= Here are some pictures of the furnace I built. It's made from 1/3 of a 55 gal. steel drum. I used a blower from a wall hand dryer , with a powerstat to control the speed. It's lined with fire brick and is fed with a 20 gal. propane tank and a Ac. regulator. It will melt brass running at about 7 lbs.on the gas an 3/4 speed on the blower. Fur1.jpg is the front of the furnace with the lid raised. Fur2.jpg is a shot of the blower and powerstat. Fur3.jpg is when the furnace is coming up to heat. Fur4.jpg is a load of Al. when it's hot enough to pour. Fur5.jpg is a billit of Al. made from a auto bellhousing. H&M1.jpg and H&M2.jpg is an engine I built. It is built from Al. with steel rod and crank. The flywheels are about 7" and made of steel. I made everything but the gears.
