Folks,

  These are pictures of the installation of Shooting Star 
DRO's on a South Bend model A 9 inch lathe and a Rong-Fu 
RF-45 mill/Drill.

  In case anyone is curious why I didn't cut the rods on 
the lathe installation or the Z-axis of the mill, it's because 
I plan to get a larger lathe in the near future, and will move 
the DRO to that lathe. I also plan to move the Z-axis read-out 
on the mill from the quill to the vertical column.  

To accomodate the installation as it is, I used a 1/4" end mill 
to "drill out" the mounting blocks for the rods by cutting 
essentially a counterbored hole for the head of a 10-32 screw 
which allowed the rod to pass thru the block while it is mounted 
this way.

  I wanted to thank Marty Escarcega again and also the great folks 
at Shooting Star for putting together the package deal which made 
these DRP's affordable for me.
