FILENAMES: RF30CBX.jpg RF30CBX-axisX.jpg RF30CBX-axisY.jpg RF30-Head.jpg DESCRIPTION: These are pictures showing a CBX digital readout mounted on a RF30 mill-drill. Posted by Barry Wheeler . Barry provided the following description: ================================================================= The mill is a version of the Rung Fu RF30 sold by Rutland Tool. The two axis version of the CBX is what I installed. Files: RF30CBX.jpg Wide veiw showing entire mill. XRF30CBX.jpg Shows X axis in detail. Had to loose the stops as it seemed to be the only place to mount the axis. Never used them anyway. The table locks need to be extended out but are workable as shown. A scale cover will have some interference with them and they will be extended past the cover and I will use some better knobs. YRF30CBX.jpg Shows Y Axis in detail. This was a real problem. I may rework this later. The big problem is the table where you mount the sensor to the X axis. The vertical surface under the table has a 4 to 11 degree slope. The overhang on the table is a pretty tight space and I could not get an exact reading on the angle. I used a wedge to get it close to 90. Same problem on the sides. Casting is sloped so I opted to make my own mounts and put them on flat surfaces. Cover is also a problem, and will require some thinking. Head.jpg Shows the CBX display and my homemade 15 dollar Z axis caliper setup. Z handwheel needs to be extended out a little. It hits the power cord slightly. A slight move to the right would clear that problem but a 1/2 inch extension on the Handle would work better. any questions contact me at arraycom@swbell.net Barry Wheeler Spring, Texas
