FILENAMES: Tapeomat.gif Servoamp.gif tapemot.jpg tapetrig.jpg tapenull.jpg DESCRIPTION: These are scans of schematics of an old Pratt & Whitney CNC control system. Posted by Brad Heuver . Brad provided the following description: ================================================================= Webmaster note - files were converted to .gif The two files tapeomat.zip and servoamp.zip are scanned .pdf files of the Pratt & Whitney tape-O-matic NC machine that was my early Christmas present. I hope to convert this machine to more modern cnc controls using EMC, a program that has been discussed a lot on the CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO email list at onelist.com. This machine has also been talked about a bit. The files are not very legible, unfortunately, especially the amp file, but if you want to see what the old electronic diags looked like, feel free. Brad Heuver -- later Brad added The these files are further information and schematics of the servo amplifiers in the tape-O-matic vertical mill that I am planning to convert to a PC based CNC system. The files are for the basic motor drive circuit, which is mostly the power supply side of the circuit, a Schmitt trigger circuit, and a shunt amplifier, and Null Pcc. I'm in a bit over my head, and just wanted to put these schematics up to solicit feedback on whether or not the servo amps could be reused. The shunt amp has 4 small block diagrams, with 2 crossed out. The ones used in my machine, obviously, are those that are not crossed out. The files are: tapemot.jpg, tapetrig.jpg, and tapenull.jpg
