FILENAMES: chuckhoist1.JPG chuckhoist2.JPG chuckhoist3.JPG DESCRIPTION: These are pictures of a chuck changing accessory posted by Wayne Cook . Wayne provided the following description: ================================================================= Here's some pictures of the chuck hoist (at least that's what I call it) at work. I know there's been some interest in this before so I took these pictures a while back and just now got around to getting them up here. First shot (chuckhoist1) shows it in use with the 3 jaw just clamped to the sleeve. This is mounted on our 16"x78" American Pacemaker at work. The 4 jaw is a 16" chuck (despite the 16" size on the nameplate the lathe can swing 19" over the ways). The next shot (chuckhoist2) gives a better overall view of it. If you look at the upright you can see the adjusting ring which was used to fine tune the height. You can also see the top bearing which supports the jib as well as the cross piece. The last shot (chuckhoist3) gives another view of the upright as well as a good shot of a empty clamp post. Notice the sleeve over the stub which allows the chuck to be rotated while clamped.
