Peter provided the following description: ================================================================= These are the long promised pictures of the bridge crane we built at Precision Welding & Machine, Wausau WI. Mark, Warren and I all had a hand in the design & construction of it, the total cost for building it was less than $5000. It spans 60 feet x 28 feet and is rated for 2000 lbs., tho we haven't actually lifted that much with it yet. The bridge is made up of 2 - 2x10x.312" rectangle tubes, this is supported by 10" x 35lb I-beams set on 4x4x3/8" square tubing posts on each side. Everything is driven by air, this kept the cost down. The trolley has a 1/3HP air gearmotor driving it, and the bridge has a 1 1/2HP air gearmotor. Each motor has it's own filter-regulator- lubricator, and the traveling air lines are run inside Nylatrac carriers. Also included is a pic of the new bandsaw, a HYD-MECH S-20, 18"x 12" capacity. Enjoy :)
