FILENAMES: radialarmdrill.jpg DESCRIPTION: This is a picture of a small radial arm drill press. Posted by Jerry Lang . Jerry provided the following description: ================================================================= The photo radialarmdrill.jpg is of a bench top radial arm drill I have restored. There is a serial number on the drill but no makers tag or name. I wonder if anyone can identify it for me. I have never seen another like it. All flat surfaces appear to be machined on a planer as the tool marks are still very apparent and that should give some idea of it's age. I feel like it is American made. The machined and t-slotted base is 10 x 25 inches and the table is 10 x 15 inches with one vertical side machined. The arm is raised/lowered by the hand wheel and screw at the column. The head and motor combination travel on the arm by means of the hand wheel and double pitch (two threads) screw on the front of the arm. Some of the handwheels and the quill handle on the head appear to be shop made replacements. There is a counter shaft between the head and the motor giving the drill eight speeds. The machine is very well made and robust for it's size. Can anyone identify it for me? If anyone has any literature on it I would like to impose on their kindness and ask to arrange for photocopies of the material for my library. Thanks in advance for any knowledge you can share.
