Chris provided the following description: ================================================================= Images: scootr1.jpg scootr2.jpg scootr3.jpg scootr4.jpg scootr5.jpg scootr6.jpg This is/was a factory built standup scooter. Exact use unknown. Manufacturer unknown. Many have requested views of this unit for ideas to build something for themselves. I find it had been quite lightweight, turned on a dime, (no reverse) and everybody who rode on it when It was together wanted to "buy it". I had pulled it apart to give it a decent paint job and reconstruction. Seems now it just stands next to a few other projects I have taken apart as well. But it is "good" junk ! It had a bracket to end mount a 12 volt DC motor above, and in front of the front wheel. The motor was about the size of a Briggs or Kohler starter motor for a 10 or 12 horse. (not the belt driven combo unit) It used a conventional garden tractor battery. Handle bars had a small thumb "paddle" to engage a relay to run the unit. Control panel seemed to indicate an electric "high/low" speed option, but not sure how it was connected or controlled as that had been removed earlier by someone else. It may have I would be interested in any info any may have in regards this unit. If someone would like to "copy" this thing and make a duplicate for me or duplicate parts for me to weld up, E-mail me and we will talk. I think a fellow could sell alot of these at sw I had also envisioned making the "full race model" where you sit on it "Indian" style hanging on to a shorter set of handlebars. Of course we would have to have the aluminum rims and gocart slicks on it !! Have fun. Chris Luebke datac@lakefield.net
