This is a photo of the electrically powered wire take-up reel.

This is a photo of the electrically powered wire take-up reel I 
designed and built for a local electrical contractor.  The motor 
is 2 HP 220v, the gearbox is from an old rototiller. Tiller shaft 
had to have a keyway cut into it and the 12" pulley shaft also, 
for turning the spool shaft.  New experience for me, but contractor 
very pleased with it.  The motor 1745 RPM, gearbox output 44 RPM and 
the wooden spool almost 15 RPM.  Foot switch to be wired into unit 
by contractor. (They get to do the paint also  :)   ).
