Ernie provided the following description: ================================================================= A drawing (Atlas TH54 10f Leadscrew bracket) detailing the fabrication of a replacement bracket which does not self destruct during an impact accident. One only need replace the shear pin with no down time. The Zamak bearing provided by Atlas is desiged to fail and costs $38 to replace. -------- Here is how I plan to replace the broken leadscrew bracket on my Atlas TH54 10F. The Zamak bearing costs $38 (clausing) while an aluminum shear pin (rivit, nail, etc.) is a nobrainer and the machine suffers no down time. However, I must experiment with various shear pins to find a shear force similar to the Zamak bearing failure. Ernie Kerr Sarasota, FL
