FILENAMES: ChangeGear-1.jpg ChangeGear-2.jpg ChangeGear-3.jpg DESCRIPTION: These are pictures of change gears for Cincinnati mill accessories that were offered for sale on 08/22/2001. Posted by Mike Fendley . The following description was provided: ================================================================= Change gear set identification needed Need some help guys. I came into possession of a nice change gear set in a box but I need help in figuring our what it fits. Lathe, universal dividing head drive, brand? Here's the specs: 20 gears, all steel, diametral pitch of 12. Hub bore is .875, with 3 key ways, hub thickness is .375, gear thickness is .350. A 3 key spline can link 3 gears together and has a bore of .625. Gears in the set are: 60 - 55 - 51 - 48 - 45 - 42* - 39 - 36 - 34 - 33 - 30 - 27 - 24 (2) - 22 - 21 - 20 - 19 - 18. The box has a spot for a 17 gear but it is missing. *In my case the 42T gear is missing and in its place is another 39. It also has one 34 tooth gear with a square shaft on it about 3" long with a retaining screw on the end of the shaft. Square shaft has a bore of .559. A female splined sleeve is also in the set (spacer?). Part #'s on a few of the parts are seen in the picture. Link below has a picture of the set. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Change gears, milling, lathe, dividing, rotary, Cincinnati mill For Sale: These 20 gears fit Cincinnati milling machines and are used to gear the dividing head or rotary table to the lead screw to generate spirals, helicals, cams, special curves, etc. However, they could be adapted to any mill and accessories or to a lathe that needs a set of change gears. The gears have never been used and are in pristine condition. The following is a description of all the gears: 20 gears, all steel, diametral pitch of 12. Hub bore is .875, with 3 key ways, hub thickness is .375, gear thickness is .350. A 3 key spline can link 3 gears together and has a bore of .625. Gears in the set are: 60 - 55 - 51 - 48 - 45 - 39 (2) - 36 - 34 - 33 - 30 - 27 - 24 (2) - 22 - 21 - 20 - 19 - 18. A wooden box is included that has a spot for a 17 gear but gear is missing. The box has a spot for a 42T gear, however it is missing and in its place is another 39. It also has one 34 tooth gear with a square shaft on it about 3" long with a retaining screw on the end of the shaft (used to hand turn a rotary and through gearing drive the table feed.) Square shaft has a bore of .559. 2 female splined sleeves are also in the set as spacers. One is the thickness of one gear, the other the thickness of 3. A .875 diameter shaft with one key way could be made and then cut to various lengths for linking gears together and making a drive or change gear set. Weight is approximately 20 lbs. and will be shipped UPS from Moline, IL., 61265.
