DESCRIPTION: These are photos of a very old LeBlond lathe . Posted by John Macha . John provided the following description: ================================================================= I inherited this leblond 16" lathe from my grandfather, who purchased it in the late '50s. This lathe was in operational condition up until 2 years ago when a hi-lo hit the apron and broke a few handles, shafts, dials and bushings off. I have been told by Leblond LTD that it is a pre-1920s model (possible 1900-1919 era model, judging by the screw threading adjustment using belts). Originally designed to be run by overhead shafts but since converted to electric motor operation. This is all they know. They have no access to the bill of materials, operators manual(s) and/or a parts book. I looked for model #'s and/or serial #s but could find none. My intentions are to make this lathe operational once again. Can anyone out there help me identify this lathe more closely? Anyone know where a parts book can be obtained ? Anyone know where parts maybe obtained ? I would appreciate any and all information and/or leads that can be provided to me. If more information is needed please contact me.
