JOE provided the following description: ================================================================= This machine is a Steinel, German made, don't know the year yet, I purchased from a retired machinist, that had a home shop, and did not do enough work to keep the lights on, I bought it with over $3,000.00 worth of tooling, and paid $2,500.00 for everything, he had painted it gray, everything and I mean everything, could not see the numbers or the brass and the hand wheels, I have changed the motor, re- chromed the hand wheels, replaced the zerts, belts and fresh oil, It is a SV4 1000, 6-1/2' tall and weighs in at 1600 lbs., If anyone would know anything about them, I would appreciate any information, Thanks, Joe. -------------------- This is a Steinel knee machine, made in West Germany, tilting head, auto. cross slide, coolant pump and weighs in at 1600 lbs., it is seven feet tall, I have complete rebuilt it and had the hand wheels re-chromed, changed all the belts and zerts, it is painted grabber green, it was originally painted gray, everything and I mean everything, it was a sad sight to look at, 5 months of labor and ready to enjoy it.
