These are pictures of an unknown lathe attachment needing identification.

I'd like to know what this apparent lathe attachment is.
It is too large for a watchmaker lathe -- center height is 
roughly 2.8", bed size is roughly 1.8".

It doesnt' have enough swing to be a radius attachment (only about
+- 30 degrees, calibrated +- 12 degrees.
