FILENAMES: MILLRITE_DUAL.jpg MILLRITE_NOT1.jpg MILLRITE_NOT2.jpg DESCRIPTION: These are pictures of a dual head Millrite milling machine. Posted by Dan Buckman . Dan provided the following description: ================================================================= Burke millrite two headed mill X axis is rack and pinion. I have never tried to mill with it, but use it quite a bit as a drill press. Put a picture of a burke millrigt two headed mill in the drop box. because: 1. I always wanted to put something in the drop box 2. I needed to finish off a roll of film and 3. I got a new scanner. 4. who knows someone might want to see a two headed millright. 5. I wasn't sure anyone would want to see a picture of my dog. -------------------------- The T head of the ram is cast as part of the ram (just like on the tracer mills but no where near as large and no tslots) . Unless a second party cast a whole new ram it must be origonal. I scabbed the motor on the second spindle because I got it without one. I don't know what it was made for but I think tracing could be ruled out. Just so happens I have a few more pix. MILLRITE_NOT1.jpg is the brown and sharp #3 in the fore ground and the planer a little further back. It's over a year old so there is natrualy more stuff filling the voids in the picture. Its a little over 100K so may need to be reduced to view properly. MILLRITE_NOT2.jpg Is a picture of the cincinnati #2 in forground and the Van Norman 28 behind. Burke millrite two headed mill X axis is rack and pinion. I have never tried to mill with it, but use it quite a bit as a drill press.
