FILENAMES: pulley.jpg DESCRIPTION: This is a picture of a damaged flat belt pulley. Posted by Esben Beck . Esben provided the following description: ================================================================= Hi all, On my old universal milling machine, one of the cone pulleys for the power feed has been chipped: http://www.metalworking.com/dropbox/pulley.jpg I do not have the missing chip, and I am thinking of using "Patch n' bond" to rebuild the pulley. Is there any better way? I've been thinking of making a new piece from cast iron that could be welded onto the pulley, but this would involve a lot more work compared to the Patch n' bond method. I have no experience in cast iron welding, either. Any inputs from the group? Regards, Esben
