Roger provided the following description: ================================================================= The Jan/Feb issue of HSM contained a letter describing an indexing attachment for a rotary table; a 100 segement disc with vernier allowing cranking the table to .001 of a turn. I thought that would be a great project. The letter did not detail attaching Darn. I forgot word wrap doesn't work in the dropbox. The gizmo here is for using the rotary table for indexing and was suggested by a letter in the Jan/Feb HSM. It is a 100 segement disc with a vernier scale to read to .001 of a turn of the RT crank. I devised my own method of holding the vernier as shown in the pictures. Since my table (A 8" Enco) has a 90:1 gear ratio, the math is 90/number of teeth desired = turns of the crank. I made the clamp with this table and the Griz minimill. Let me know what you think.
