The following description was provided: ================================================================= This is the 0.040" wide slot that I enquired about making on the rcm newsgroup a few weeks ago. Thanks for the tips all! It was done on , A MILL DRILL. First I used a number 61 drill to drill a series of holes along the length of the slot, I used a carbide endmill at 2110rpm, as fast as the machine would turn, and plunged 0.005" at a time for each pass till the slot was completed. I did break a drill bit in the hole, but the carbide endmill easily took care of it! Mission accomplished!
