Posted by Steve Stovner . The following description was provided: ================================================================= Atlas 78 Shaper SN 009950 ----------------------------------- Atlas7B1.jpg -> Atlas7B7.jpg are of the machine after a wipe down with a little WD-40. Atlas7B8.jpg shows the first surface I ever cut with a shaper (10 mins. after unloading). Atlas7B9.jpg shows the Floor Stand, Extension Tool and Index Centers that I would like to acquire. I bought this Shaper at a McMillan Brothers auction in Mt. Vernon, WA. on 3/16/02 for $550 +7.9% tax. It came from the estate of Mr. Everett Arnes, Sedro Woolley, WA. The folder of documentation that came with the machine includes the following info: - The Repair Parts List is dated August 1953 - Receipt for purchase by E.A. Arnes for $200 from THENO'S GUN SHOP on 1/21/66. Everything seems to be original (paint, vice, motor, hand crank, belt guards, power cord, etc). The paint color of the cross feed racket gear case seems a little off, can anyone confirm if this is normal from the factory or does it indicate an after-market or repainted part (looks like factory paint job). Can anyone determine date of manufacture and original sale price for SN 009950?
