The following description was provided: ================================================================= Several things this time: CastRing1.jpg - first attempt at casting a part of a router/shaper (not a needed part, just doing it for the practice) CastRing2.jpg - Second attempt. Hotter, taller (sprue) = much more detail! HmMadeWelder1.jpg - First picture of my really dinky homemade welder. HmMadeWelder2.jpg - Other pic. HmMadeChoke.jpg - Picture of choke I wound for current limiting. Much more efficient than a resistor, though with no taps it isn't as adjustable as a variable wirewound type (remember those?). Weld_Cruc1.jpg - Top view of a 22ga. steel crucible I welded with it! Weld_Cruc2.jpg - Unfortunately, it only held up for about 3 melts. :( Not worth the effort, so I use cheap soup cans with lifting tabs tacked on. Tim
