This is a picture of a door latch casting.

The following description was provided:

Photograph (actually, direct scan!) of a casting I made,
of the back plate to the "ol'-skool" :) style door latches,
you know, with the skeloton key.

The horseshoe bubble is around where the sprue came in,
and the rectangular projections all over are about 1/8" tall.
And yes my sand is actually that coarse!
