Attached is MakingTheMount.htm, which describes making a mount of 
wood and plastic to hold an IBM tape drive motor low in a men's bicycle 
frame so it can be chain driven from the pedals. The metalworking content 
is minimal. The motor had to be keyed and the cog thinned and shortened.

show the mount and motor on the bike. The motor is capable of absorbing or 
replacing even the strongest rider's effort, at 3/4 HP max. I just use it 
as a generator, to run a very bright 35W headlight for night trail rides.
