The following description was provided:

These are three pictures of the old lathe I just 
purchased and am trying to identify.

It is a 9" lathe with a 40" bed (total length)
There are no covers, AND no provision for covers.
The only identifying mark is a cast in number in 
the lower flange of the bed on the left end, "M192".
