Here are some photos of my vacuum drying system used to dry green 
turned bowls.  The chamber is a surplus stainless steel chamber 
probably used in semiconductor manufacturing.  The microwave 
components were salvaged from the local dump.  The load cell, 
control box and %on timer were all surplus units.  The lift 
maechanism was salvaged from work (Make it go away!) I probably 
have less than $100 in the whole thing including the vacuum pump.  
This unit takes the time to dry a bowl down from 6 months to 
about 1 hour.
