Here is a way to cure chuck spin in the tailstock quill for 
some lathes.   A small hole is drilled through the quil with 
a carbide drill.   Make a sleeve from crs and tap a 10-32 hole 
for a set screw.    Grind a small flat on the chuck shank for 
the set screw to seat on.
