This is a "junk box" grinder for finishing lathe tools but could be adapted for small slitting saws. The motor is a flange mounting, ex dishwasher unit. Bearings were noisy, so I fitted new ones and used the old ones in the pivot. Wheels were from local D In use, I rough out the tool either on the bench grinder or in the bench vice with an angle grinder, then just remove a few thou. to get all the angles right. The black knurled wheel is the infeed and the arm is the stroke. Improvements? More robust arm and bearing system would shorten spark-out time, tool clamp on a circumferential slot, use bigger wheels and a more powerful motor. This was made about 4 years ago and is still performing well. Regards, Ian Ralston
