These are pictures of an adapter to mount a faceplate on the
cross slide of a Southbend lathe.

This is an adapter for the SB 9" to allow the use of the faceplate as a 
table for boring or light milling. The idea is not original. I found it 
in the "Home Workshop Handbook", 1961 edition by Davis Publishing. The 
article is credited to Mr. H. L. Garber.
