These are images of a hand forges knife blade.

Photos (direct scans actually) of a crudely forged blade I made.

The grooves of the file are still clearly visible...
Blade1.jpg - "Front" side.  The file curved inside (towards the
             flat side) as I tried squaring up the 'shaft' part.
Blade2.jpg - "Back" side.  The periodic undulations visible both
             on the edge, and off, outside the blade itself, are
             artifacts of the scanner.  I assure you, the blade
             edge is perfectly shiny steel.
