FILENAMES: MDHamilton1.jpg MDHamilton2.jpg MDHamilton3.jpg DESCRIPTION: These are pictures of a small Hamilton knee mill. Posted by Matt Dilligan . The following description was provided: ================================================================= A combination of moving and potential unemployment leads me to put my Hamilton mill up FS. It's a small vertical knee-mill almost identical in design to the smaller Clausing mills but 24" tall. Some information on the company is available here but they don't mention the vertical mill which is built on a similar base to the horizontal mill shown. http://www.lathes.co.uk/hamiltonmaryland/ Anyways some info on the machine All cast-iron construction MT1 taper with drawbar (same as Sherline so lots of tooling is available) 1/3HP Westinghouse (USA) motor 2.5"x14" table with one T-slot Comes with 3 collets, 3/8" end mill holder, shell mill holder, vise, holddown kit, Jacobs chuck A great machine for someone who does smaller work or who has limited space. A much more serious machine than a Sherline or Taig but still nice and compact. Pics are available in the metalworking.com dropbox under MDHamilton1, MDHamilton2, and MDHamilton3 though these pics are a little old, I've cleaned up the mill a bit since then and also fitted a nice aluminum brace on the upper part of the head due to a crack in the casting. Machine is located in Oakland and weighs 150lbs, shipping is not out of the question but I'd prefer to sell locally. I can deliver withing a reasonable distance, however.
