When I burn out a headlight - I replace both.  The old but good one
used to be trashed along with the bad one.

I wanted an overhead lamp that wasn't bluish or dim.

Since I had a 12v transformer of some large size it worked great.

I use it on both lathes - wood and metal.  The high beam allows
for sharp detail in a small area.

Aids in photographs as well.
