FILENAMES: Dividing_plate_workbook.xls DESCRIPTION: This is an Excel speadsheet for laying out a dividing plate for a rotary table. Posted by Matt Isserstedt . The following description was provided: ================================================================= Dividing_plate_abstract.txt Here is a handy Excel workbook for fabricating a dividing plate. dividing_plate_workbook.xls I made this workbook for use with a Moore 10" precision rotary table. It has divisions in degrees on the main rotary table, and then minute graduations on the handwheel with vernier seconds. If you aren’t familiar with Moore Precision Tools, they’re about the ultimate in mechanical accuracy in fact, they wrote the book, literally! Operation of the worksheet for YOUR needs is this: Change the cell which contains the number of holes you wish to produce. Then highlight the cells in the last row, and put the cursor at the lower-right corner of this until a ‘+’ sign appears. This will copy the formulas with relative position, basically filling in the rest of the worksheet. There is no limit. The "Error" column is a comparison between the un-rounded-off decimal degree figure and the whole number of degrees, minutes, and seconds. You’ll notice that they come quite close!
