Posted by Matt Isserstedt . The following description was provided: ================================================================= Shop_abstract.txt Here are some photos of my shop. shop_surface_grinder.jpg This is where we start, next to the garage door, Harig 6x12 surface grinder with one swipe of grey paint to test the new color. This machine has yet to run but I hope to do so in the near future. shop_left_side.jpg Here are the lineup of Craftsman toolboxes, with the Clausing 5914 lathe sandwiched in between. shop_corner.jpg This is where the Steptoe-Western shaper resides next to its partner the Wellsaw 58B rolling bandsaw. shop_back_wall_4.jpg Here is my main workbench, suitable for welding, storage, hammering and anything less than a tornado. The top is a 5/8" plate which weighs upwards of 600#. shop_back_wall_2.jpg A 1980 edition of the Bpt 2J miller, 42" table. Underneath is the Atlas #3 compound arbor press, currently awaiting a floor stand, catalog capacity is 12 tons. shop_back_wall_3.jpg Here is the other half of the Textron millers, an Adcock & Shipley #1ES horizontal miller, another fine machine. Next to this is my power distribution panel, phase converter controls, and the "chemical factory" really mostly lubes, solvents, and paints. A few garden remedies snuck up there too. shop_basement.jpg Here is the basement shop, dual purpose for woodworking. Powermatic offerings of #66 table saw and #87 bandsaw are visible. My maple workbench houses a Gerstner given to me by my wife and a much older and smaller chest given to my grandfather by my grandmother, late 1930s I’d guess.
