Chamfer Ball Check is a PDF sdrawing that shows how to use any size ball to check any size and any angle chamfer.

If you know the surface diameter of the chamfer and the included angle or angle on the side it is a simple trig exercise to calculate the distance from the surface to the top of the ball.

The ball must be sitting in the chamfer tangent to the sides!
