This is a Garvin #13 horizontal mill with Bridgeport M-Head on it. I picked it up this last summer and am now getting it back together after painting. I'm looking for information in regards repairing the T-Slot table. It has gotten a lot of abuse. Marks, 
Should I have some welding done to all the bad areas and then send it out for flying or grinding ? I heard that can be costly. Or, I could just drop over the top of the existing table, a 1" slab of Tooling Plate with drilled and tapped holes for hold down
